Cease-Fire Negotiations in Doha as Gaza Death Toll Exceeds 40,000



The United States praised the beginning of Gaza cease-fire talks on Thursday, calling it a “promising start.” The pressure is increasing for a deal to stop the escalation of the war in Gaza, where the health ministry reported that 40,005 people have been killed. The conflict was initiated by Hamas’s attack on October 7th.
