Chad Wolf tells Newsmax that admitting Gazans does not make sense
President Joe Biden’s consideration of allowing refugees from Gaza to come to the United States is being criticized by Chad Wolf, a former acting Department of Homeland Security secretary. Wolf stated on Newsmax Sunday that it doesn’t make sense, especially since countries like Egypt and Jordan are rejecting them due to security concerns.
“Why do they need to come here to the United States?” Wolf questioned on Newsmax’s “Sunday Agenda” with retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier Gen. Blaine Holt. He emphasized the existing refugee process and the millions of individuals already in the U.S. who crossed the southern border.
Wolf also pointed out that the Biden administration has already brought hundreds of thousands of Afghans to the U.S.
He argued that the U.S. is not the only country capable of accepting refugees and resettling them globally. Wolf suggested that if individuals from Gaza need to leave, they should be resettled close to Gaza, possibly in the Mideast or Europe.
In response, Holt raised concerns about foreign wars potentially affecting the U.S. due to Biden’s policies. He warned of future terrorist attacks and criticized Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for lack of due process.
Wolf supported the idea of deporting foreign students involved in protests and cutting federal funding for American students engaging in such activities. He highlighted concerns about radicalization on college campuses, citing instances at Columbia and other universities.
