Chairman of Ways and Means: Evidence indicates that Hunter Biden was untruthful

The House Ways and Means Committee voted on Wednesday to release over 100 pages of new evidence from IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler. The evidence allegedly shows that Hunter Biden lied during his testimony before Congress on Feb. 28.

“Hunter Biden has once again demonstrated his belief in two systems of justice in the country – one for his family and one for everyone else,” said committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo. “Not only did he initially refuse to comply with his subpoena until threatened with criminal contempt, but he also lied before Congress.”

The documents suggest that the president’s son lied about a text sent to a Chinese energy company associate, the control of certain business accounts, and his involvement in seeking a visa for the CEO of Burisma energy company.

In one instance, Biden denied sending a WhatsApp message to the Chinese energy company associate when sitting with his father. Subsequently, $5 million came from CEFC affiliates to companies linked to Hunter and James Biden.

Phone records from Biden’s WhatsApp messages indicated that he was communicating with the CEFC associate, contradicting his testimony.

Regarding the business accounts, Biden claimed they were not under his control, but his former business associate contradicted this, stating they were equal owners of the accounts.

Evidence from the IRS whistleblowers showed that Biden was the beneficial owner of the company’s bank account, allowing him to receive money from Burisma and foreign wires.

Despite Biden’s denial of control over Rosemont’s bank accounts, evidence from whistleblower Joseph Ziegler revealed documentation showing otherwise.

On the issue of the visa for the CEO of the Ukrainian company, Biden denied involvement in seeking a visa. However, an email communication between Biden and his associates showed discussions regarding the revocation of the CEO’s visa.

The Ways and Means Committee also voted to release complete versions of communications between Biden and his business associates, as well as evidence related to Assistant U.S. Attorney Leslie Wolf informing IRS investigators that a Biden ally could not be pursued as a witness.
