Christie Presents Zelenskyy with Bon Jovi’s Handwritten Lyrics to ‘It’s My Life’ as a Gift

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie visited Ukraine and presented Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with handwritten lyrics to Bon Jovi’s song “It’s My Life.” The song has become a symbol of resilience for the Ukrainian people during their conflict with Russia. Christie, who is reportedly considering a run for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, stated that he wanted to bring attention to the atrocities committed against the Ukrainian people and continue American support for Ukraine. He visited the town of Bucha, where he witnessed a shallow grave of 160 civilians who were executed by the Russian army. Christie described the brutal acts committed, including gouging out eyes, cutting off ears, and raping women. Christie’s visit follows Former Vice President Mike Pence’s trip to Ukraine in June, showing a united front among Republican candidates in their support for Ukraine. Christie is seen by some as a potential foil to former President Donald Trump, who is currently the GOP front-runner.
