Christina Bobb calls out Georgia AG for being ‘oddly silent’ on Fani Willis case in Newsmax interview

Christina Bobb expressed her confusion to Newsmax on Friday regarding the lack of comments from Georgia Republican Attorney General Christopher Carr on Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ undisclosed relationship with Nathan Wade, a special prosecutor in the state’s 2020 election interference case against Donald Trump.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled on Friday that Wade must be removed or Willis must step aside due to the allegations of their relationship. Though he did not find it to be a conflict of interest, he acknowledged that it created an “appearance of impropriety” within the prosecution team. Wade later resigned from the case.

Bobb, who was recently hired as senior counsel for election integrity at the Republican National Committee, urged the people of Georgia to speak out. She called for accountability of rogue district attorneys and emphasized the need for the enforcement of laws in Georgia.

Joe diGenova, a former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, criticized Governor Brian Kemp and Attorney General Christopher Carr for their lack of action in the case, attributing it to their political motivations.

In response to McAfee’s ruling, Bobb and diGenova both expressed disappointment and questioned the integrity of the decision-making process.

DiGenova suggested that McAfee’s ruling may have been influenced by his upcoming re-election bid in May.
