Colorado Republicans: Remove Children from Public Schools

The Colorado Republican Party has suggested that parents should consider removing their children from public schools due to concerns about “LGBTQ indoctrination,” reported by The Hill.

In a fundraising email obtained by The Hill, the party expressed opposition to a bill signed by Colorado Governor Jared Polis, a Democrat, which requires teachers to use students’ preferred pronouns without parental notification.

The email criticized the bill as being supported by “four far-left progressives, two of whom do not know their own genders and do not have children.” It further urged parents to consider alternative education options for their children.

State Senator Faith Winter, a Democrat, defended the bill, stating that using a child’s chosen name in school was essential for ensuring student safety and improving educational outcomes.

The Colorado Republican Party argued that the legislation aims to undermine the family unit and promote the idea that the government knows best.
