Colorado Supreme Court Disqualifies Trump From Ballot Due to Democratic-Inspired Ruling; Campaign Reacts

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump is disqualified from holding office and is removed from the state’s 2024 ballot over the 2021 U.S. Capitol attack, a court filing showed.

That provoked a strongly worded attack on the ruling from the Trump 2024 campaign:

“Unsurprisingly, the all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump’s name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice.”

The court found Trump engaged in insurrection and the former president’s speech inciting the crowd that breached the Capitol was not protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees free speech, according to the court filing.
