Colorado Trump Decision Will Be Rejected, Says Rep. Waltz in Interview with Newsmax

Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., voiced his concerns on Tuesday about the recent decision of the Colorado Supreme Court to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s ballot for the upcoming primary election.

“I think the Supreme Court is going to step in and knock this nonsense down,” Waltz told Newsmax.

The decision by the Colorado high court has raised eyebrows, particularly regarding the timing of resolving the matter before the crucial Jan. 5 deadline, as emphasized by Waltz.

“They [U.S. Supreme Court] know that this has to be heard before January 5th, which is what, at least if you believe Colorado’s secretary of state, she’s saying in terms of determining the ballot,” Waltz stated during an appearance on “Eric Bolling The Balance.”

While addressing the broader implications, Waltz remarked, “But really, at the end of the day, there are a number of other states that are waiting, and either we’re going to go down this road and knock this nonsense down, or you’re going to see red states saying, ‘Well, you know, even though there has yet to be a trial for bribery, for money laundering, or for any of the other tax evasion that we think that Joe Biden has participated in, then we’ll start launching that in kind.’ And again. You have one more series of institutions that become unraveled.”

Highlighting the potential ripple effect, Waltz emphasized the involvement of swing states in scrutinizing the situation.

“We have swing states that are looking at it. If one side is going to do it, then the other side is going to have to do it. Otherwise, we’re going to need the courts to step in and restore some sanity here.”
