Competition for McConnell’s Successor Intensifies in Leadership Race
The competition is intensifying for the position of the new leader of the Republican Senate conference. Senator John Cornyn from Texas is competing against Senator John Thune from South Dakota and Senator Rick Scott from Florida to take over from longtime leader Mitch McConnell from Kentucky.
