Congresswoman Boebert’s son has been arrested on suspicion of theft
The New York Post reported that Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., eldest son, Tyler Boebert, was arrested on Tuesday and is facing 22 criminal charges, including five felonies, related to alleged thefts.
Colorado’s Rifle Police Department stated that Tyler Boebert, 18, is charged with five felony charges, four for criminal possession of ID documents with multiple victims, and one conspiracy to commit a felony charge.
Additionally, he is facing misdemeanor charges for four first-degree criminal trespassing of an automobile, four charges of identity theft, possession with intent to use, two charges for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and three petty offenses for theft less than $300.
According to jail records, Tyler Boebert remains in custody with no bond information listed, as reported by The Denver Post.
Prior to this arrest, Tyler Boebert had a run-in with the law two years ago when he received a ticket for “careless driving causing bodily injury” after flipping his father’s car into a creek, injuring a friend, as detailed by Westword.
This is the second incident this year involving a family member being taken into custody, as Jayson Boebert, ex-husband of Lauren Boebert, was arrested on assault charges for shoving his thumb into the mouth of another son in January, following a public incident at a Colorado restaurant, according to Garfield County sheriff’s deputies.
Lauren Boebert confirmed being a grandmother at age 36 in June, when Tyler Boebert and his girlfriend welcomed a son, as noted by the New York Post.
