Corey Lewandowski Joins forces with the Trump Campaign
Donald Trump’s former campaign manager in 2016, Corey Lewandowski, has been brought on board for the current presidential race to provide guidance on delegate and convention processes, as confirmed by Trump’s campaign to the National Review on Tuesday.
“He’s very valuable to me, as well as to the RNC and the president,” stated Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCivita to National Review.
Despite his removal as Trump’s campaign manager in 2016 and his role in advising a pro-Trump super PAC in 2021, Lewandowski has remained a steadfast ally.
In 2016, Lewandowski was replaced as campaign chair by Paul Manafort, who resigned earlier that same month, allowing Lewandowski to assume the role.
The GOP convention is set for mid-July in Milwaukee.
