Criticism of Biden’s Camp for Comparing Trump to Hitler Grows
Yesterday, President Joe Biden’s campaign came under scrutiny for sharing a graphic that compared former President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler, the infamous leader from World War II.
The Biden-Harris HQ account, which is reportedly managed by the campaign, posted the graphic titled “Trump Parrots Hitler” with supposed quotes from both individuals. The campaign falsely attributed quotes to Trump, comparing them with actual quotes from Hitler referring to Jewish people. However, these comparisons were incorrect and misleading.
Several former officials from the Trump administration and conservative politicians criticized the Biden campaign’s decision to make this comparison, which was once considered a political taboo.
Former Trump adviser Stephen Miller, who is Jewish, condemned the campaign’s actions, calling it “rank antisemitism” and stating that it minimizes and diminishes the Holocaust and the Nazi Genocide.
Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio also called out the tactic earlier when Vice President Kamala Harris hinted at the resemblance between Trump’s rhetoric and Hitler’s while speaking on MSNBC.
