De Niro Hosts Fundraiser for Biden, Calls Trump a ‘Monster’
Actor Robert De Niro continued his campaign for President Joe Biden with a fundraising email to supporters sent out by the Biden-Harris team. In the email, De Niro refers to former President Donald Trump as a “monster” and asks for contributions of at least $25 to ensure Trump never returns to the White House.
This email was sent one day after De Niro spoke out about Trump during a press conference organized by the Biden reelection campaign outside a Manhattan courthouse. He called Trump supporters “lowlifes” during closing arguments in Trump’s business records trial.
De Niro also had a confrontation with MAGA supporters, prompting members of the Trump family to accuse Biden of undermining Trump’s reelection campaign through the courts.
The fundraising email, requesting contributions ranging from $25 to $500, reiterated De Niro’s criticisms of Trump.
De Niro expressed disbelief that Trump was elected president and criticized his actions during his term. He praised Biden for defeating Trump and restoring decency, compassion, and honest leadership to the presidency.
De Niro expressed concern about Trump attempting to return to power, calling him a “monster” and stating that it is crucial for everyone to prevent Trump from returning to the White House.
De Niro emphasized that Biden is the right choice for the presidency, highlighting his integrity and dedication to public service. He contrasted this with Trump’s self-centered motives.
The fundraising email follows De Niro’s video advertisement for the Biden campaign, in which he warns about the threat of Trump undermining the Constitution after leaving office.
