De Niro’s Attack Ad Claims Trump ‘Lost it’ After 2020 Defeat

Actor Robert De Niro, known for his outspoken criticism of former President Donald Trump, recently appeared in a campaign ad approved by President Joe Biden. In the ad, De Niro claims that Trump “snapped” after leaving the White House and warns that the former president wants to “terminate the Constitution.”

The 30-second spot, which is part of the Biden campaign’s paid media for May, started airing on broadcast markets, digital platforms, and national cable in battleground states as reported by Deadline.

In the ad, De Niro highlights Trump’s behavior during his presidency, citing examples such as late-night tweets, suggesting drinking bleach, tear-gassing citizens, and staging a photo op to demonstrate that Trump was “out of control.” De Niro goes on to say that Trump lost the 2020 election and “snapped” while trying to hold onto power.

The actor warns that Trump is now running again and threatens to “be a dictator” and “terminate the Constitution.” De Niro accuses Trump of seeking revenge and being willing to do anything to achieve it, as shown by a clip of Trump using the word “bloodbath” in a speech.

Trump refuted claims of inciting violence with the word “bloodbath,” stating that he was referring to potential losses in the automobile manufacturing industry, not political violence. De Niro’s ad follows his controversial comments on various TV shows, including a recent appearance on “The View” where he cursed about Trump.
