DeSantis Assures He Will Prevent Another Deep State-Imposed Lockdown
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis stated during the Republican presidential debate that if he were elected president, he would not allow the deep state to shut down the U.S. economy as it did during the COVID-19 pandemic. DeSantis criticized the federal government’s handling of the pandemic and praised his own leadership as governor of Florida, where he kept the state open. He also took a shot at Dr. Anthony Fauci, suggesting he would be fired if DeSantis were president.
