DeSantis Criticizes Trump’s “False and Immature” Insults
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis criticized former President Donald Trump’s insults during a town hall in New Hampshire, stating that they are “phony” and unbecoming of a president. DeSantis, who has often been a target of Trump’s insults, expressed his disapproval of the juvenile behavior, emphasizing that it is not how a great nation or the president of the United States should conduct themselves. While DeSantis acknowledged the positive aspects of Trump’s presidency, he also noted that Trump failed to fulfill all of his campaign promises, particularly in regards to draining the swamp and securing the border, as well as reducing the national debt. DeSantis argued that people who are disappointed in President Joe Biden’s actions will not support a candidate who behaves like Trump, calling for higher standards and setting a good example for future generations. He urged voters to be better and strive for a candidate who conducts themselves in a more respectful and dignified manner.
