DeSantis will be fundraising for Trump

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is gearing up to assist former President Donald Trump in raising funds for the 2024 campaign.

DeSantis, who competed against Trump for the Republican presidential nomination but ended his campaign in January, has reportedly started reaching out to potential donors. His financial team is also arranging a fundraising tour that will include stops in Florida and Texas.

Ron Bailey, a Dallas-based investor and the former co-chair of DeSantis’ national finance committee, told the Associated Press that the governor has demonstrated his loyalty to the president. Bailey believes that donors will follow DeSantis’ lead and support Trump as well.

Bailey stated, “We will target previous DeSantis donors who have not yet donated to President Trump. We aim to persuade these donors to contribute to him, which will be very valuable.”

Trump recently shared on Truth Social that he had a productive meeting with DeSantis last month.

“I am grateful to have the full and enthusiastic endorsement of Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida,” Trump expressed.

Trump further added, “The discussion mainly revolved around how we can work closely together to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. We also talked about the bright future of Florida. I deeply appreciate Ron’s support in reclaiming our country from the worst president in U.S. history. November 5th is a significant day!!!”
