Dick Morris tells Newsmax that Trump is so popular that he doesn’t need a Vice President
Political consultant Dick Morris stated that former President Donald Trump’s popularity is so strong that he does not need to have a specific criteria for choosing a vice president. During an appearance on Newsmax’s “Greg Kelly Reports”, Morris emphasized that Trump’s base is loyal and accepting of his recommendations.
It was mentioned that Trump knows many influential Republicans who are interested in being his running mate, but ultimately, he will select someone who he believes would be a good president if needed. There has been a vetting process initiated by Trump’s campaign for potential vice-presidential candidates, with requests for information sent to top contenders like North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.
In regard to Trump’s choice of vice president, pollster Jim McLaughlin highlighted the importance of selecting someone who is experienced in dealing with the media. The decision is crucial as the chosen candidate could potentially serve as vice president for the next term and even as president in the following years.
