Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is currently in top form leading up to the first presidential debate, according to presidential advisor Dick Morris in an interview with Newsmax on Saturday.

Morris emphasized Trump’s daily rehearsal of debate performances through rallies and speeches, noting his excellent preparation going into the debate with Biden.

During the week, Trump met with the GOP to discuss party plans for the 2024 elections.

Morris acknowledged Trump’s evolving role as a unifying leader within the Republican Party and highlighted his strong presence compared to Biden and even his own first term.

Trump’s recent speech in Florida impressed Morris, reinforcing his belief that Trump is well-prepared for the upcoming debate on June 27.

Morris praised Trump for articulating numerous issue positions and noted that his political views resonate with a majority of Americans, including independents.

Trump’s popularity is growing not just among conservatives, but also among independents and a majority of Americans, according to Morris.

Morris ruled out Sen. Marco Rubio as a potential vice presidential candidate due to the candidate rule against selecting someone from the same home state of Florida.
