DiGenova and Toensing Tell Newsmax: Biden “Compromised” and Unfit to Lead on Columbia Protests

Former U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Joe diGenova and former DOJ Deputy Assistant Attorney General Victoria Toensing told Newsmax on Monday that they believe President Joe Biden is compromised and cannot effectively lead on the Columbia University anti-Israel protests because he is too concerned about the Michigan and Minnesota votes.

“Biden is unable to lead due to being politically compromised,” diGenova stated during an appearance on Newsmax‘s “American Agenda.” “His focus on the upcoming election in Michigan and Minnesota has paralyzed him, demonstrating that he lacks true leadership qualities. Do not expect anything significant from this president, as he is incapable of taking action.”

Toensing compared the campus protests to Biden’s foreign policy, highlighting his reluctance to enforce consequences for crossing “red lines.”

“The pattern of negotiation, delays, and lack of consequences for crossing red lines prevails,” she explained. “Just like when Biden failed to act when Russia encroached into Ukraine until they went too far. The young protesters are mirroring the lack of leadership from the administration.”

DiGenova suggested that the liberal district attorneys will be hesitant to prosecute any of the protesters involved in anti-Israel demonstrations on college campuses.

“There will be no consequences for those arrested, especially with prosecutors like Alvin Bragg in New York and others in Los Angeles who are unlikely to pursue charges,” he noted. “One might consider legal action against George Soros, who funds much of this anti-American activity through various channels. Ironically, Soros, a Jew, seems to also hold antisemitic views.”

When asked if there will be anyone to intervene and put an end to the unrest on campuses, DiGenova quipped, “All the adults have left New York and are now in Florida.”

Toensing pointed out the contrast between red and blue states in handling campus protests, with red states like Florida, Texas, and Georgia taking a firmer stance.
