DiGenova and Toensing Tell Newsmax: Biden is ‘Compromised’ and Unfit to Lead on Columbia Protests

According to former U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Joe diGenova and former DOJ Deputy Assistant Attorney General Victoria Toensing, President Joe Biden is “compromised” and unable to lead on the Columbia University anti-Israel protests due to concerns about the Michigan and Minnesota votes.

“Biden is too politically compromised to lead,” diGenova stated during an interview on Newsmax‘s “American Agenda.” “His focus on upcoming elections in Michigan and Minnesota has rendered him incapable of taking action. This demonstrates his lack of leadership ability. Don’t expect much from this president, as he seems unable to do anything.”

Toensing compared the campus protests to Biden’s foreign policy failures and his failure to enforce consequences for crossing “red lines.”

“It’s a cycle of negotiation without consequences,” she explained. “Biden’s reluctance to take action when red lines are crossed mirrors how he handled the Ukraine situation. The lack of consequences sets a precedent for the behavior we’re seeing on college campuses.”

DiGenova predicted that liberal district attorneys will not prosecute any of the protesters involved in the anti-Israel demonstrations, citing examples in New York and Los Angeles.

“The lack of consequences for those arrested is a result of the district attorneys in places like New York and L.A.,” he pointed out. “Perhaps those suing Columbia should also consider taking legal action against George Soros, who is believed to be funding much of this activity through various channels.”

When asked if any authoritative figure would step in to address the campus unrest, diGenova quipped, “All the adults have left New York for Florida.”

Toensing highlighted the difference in responses between Democrat-led and Republican-led states to student protests on campuses.

“Republican-led states like Florida, Texas, and Georgia are not tolerating student takeovers of campuses like blue states are,” she noted.
