The Democratic National Committee has enlisted the social media experts who managed Kamala Harris’s campaign account to address “misinformation” from the new Trump administration.

The team responsible for the @KamalaHQ account during Harris’s unsuccessful campaign will now oversee the @FactPostNews account to counteract the “Republican misinformation apparatus” preceding Trump’s presidency, according to Axios.

“The Republican misinformation apparatus is formidable, but we believe that arming people with facts about how Trump and his administration are harming the American populace is a more potent strategy,” remarked DNC chief mobilization officer Shelby Cole.

The staffers are active on platforms such as X and Threads, and they are currently looking to enhance the brand’s presence on Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

The pinned post on the account indicates, “This is the official rapid response channel for the Democratic Party, ensuring accountability for Trump and MAGA extremists. Welcome to FactPost.”

The Democratic Party’s reset aims to effectively engage voters across alternative media platforms, resembling President-elect Donald Trump’s successful strategy in the 2024 campaign.

Trump attracted tens of millions of views by accepting interviews with independent media figures, including a notable one with comedian Joe Rogan, which generated over 50 million views on YouTube alone.

As per a memo obtained by Axios, the staff is directed to spotlight the affluence of many of Trump’s cabinet selections, seeking to create a rift between the working class and Trump’s forthcoming administration.

“Trump’s MAGA supporters in Congress are preparing to endorse these unsuitable billionaire appointments and Trump’s anti-working families agenda,” the memo states.

In spite of the Democrats’ attempts to portray Trump’s agenda as “anti-working family,” the 47th president-elect secured a mandate victory on Election Day.

A Statista poll shows that inflation, the economy, and immigration remain the top concerns for voters, even as President Biden repeatedly asserts that he’s leaving the economy “stronger than ever.”
