The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has terminated contracts totaling over $180 million within just two days, which includes a nearly $170,000 contract for an exhibit dedicated to Anthony Fauci.

On Friday, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) revealed that HHS had revoked 62 contracts worth approximately $182 million.
“In the past 48 hours, HHS canceled 62 contracts worth $182 million,” announced the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in a post on social media. “These contracts were solely for administrative costs – none affected any healthcare initiatives. This included the cancellation of a $168,000 contract for an Anthony Fauci exhibit at the NIH Museum.”
This decision follows plans by Elon Musk and DOGE to dismantle the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). They aim to implement reforms within the U.S. Treasury Department that could eliminate over $100 billion annually in entitlement payments to individuals lacking a Social Security number.
The Fauci exhibit was scheduled for completion by July 2025 but has been canceled along with $182 million in additional HHS administrative expenditures.
Fauci has frequently had confrontations with former President Donald Trump, who last month rescinded the taxpayer-funded security detail that had been requested for Fauci in 2020 as he took on the role of the government’s public representative during the COVID-19 crisis.
On his last day in office, former President Joe Biden granted Fauci a pardon, even though he had not faced any charges at the time of the pardon.
