Donald Trump Jr. Pushes for Resilient Vice President in Midst of Political Upheaval
According to an interview with the N.Y. Post, Donald Trump Jr. is urging his father, former President Donald Trump, to choose a running mate who can withstand political attacks and fight back forcefully.
Trump Jr. emphasized the need for a “fighter” who can handle what will be thrown at them, especially given the “vicious nature of the swamp.”
In contrast to the 2016 election, where balance was sought with Mike Pence, Trump Jr. now advocates for a tougher approach, suggesting potential picks like Sen. J.D. Vance, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Tucker Carlson.
While Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle do not plan to emulate Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in their White House roles, they hinted at remaining active in a potential Trump administration comeback.
Trump Jr. highlighted the importance of preventing “D.C. swamp rats and swamp creatures” from infiltrating the government and maintaining his father’s agenda.
He mentioned potential transition team members like John Ratcliffe and Cliff Sims, loyal supporters of America first policies.
Trump Jr.’s comments echoed his father’s warning to President Biden about the consequences of legal action against a former president, albeit in a more lighthearted tone.
