Egypt Raises Concerns to United States Regarding Security Threats Caused by Israeli Operations in Rafah
The foreign minister of Egypt informed U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday that the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza, particularly in Rafah, a border city between Egypt and the enclave, pose significant security risks.
During a phone conversation with Blinken, Sameh Shoukry also emphasized the importance of resuming aid deliveries to Gaza following a discussion on the Israeli takeover of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing, according to a statement from the Egyptian foreign ministry.
