Quite recently, Joe Biden was in Raleigh, North Carolina, touting his record on the economy and calling “Bidenomics” a success for middle-class Americans and small business owners.
No, that’s not a joke.
For more than two decades, I owned and operated small businesses throughout North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District.
I can tell you this: today’s economy is the most unfriendly economy to entrepreneurs in my lifetime. Inflation, interest rates, and regulatory burdens are making it nearly impossible for small business owners and entrepreneurs to get ahead.
Instead of addressing these issues, Joe Biden is taking victory laps, mocking hardworking Americans who are struggling to make ends meet.
Under President Biden, home prices have skyrocketed, energy costs are at record highs, and consumer confidence remains pessimistic.
As discouraging as it may be, this is a unique opportunity for lawmakers in Washington to step in and begin making targeted cuts to regulation and burdensome red tape.
Instead of sitting idly by, Washington can be proactive and work to limit the scope of government and unleash American enterprises.
It’s actually quite simple.
Donald Trump spent three years doing it, and our national economy was the strongest it had been in my lifetime.
This November, millions of Americans will be voting based on their wallets and nothing else. They’re concerned about being able to afford a roof over their head, gas, food, youth sports, and vacations.
These are the things that matter to hardworking Americans.
We need bold, conservative leaders with business acumen to get our country back on the right track. We cannot trust the Washington establishment or Joe Biden to do it — it’s going to take everyday, hardworking Americans to turn this economy around.
If Republicans want to win in November, they need to start focusing now on fixing our economy. Though the House majority is thin, it is still a majority.
- No more continuing resolutions!
- No more blank checks!
- No more deficit-inducing spending!
Republicans need to take this seriously and actually begin delivering for the American people if they want to win in November and be a check on President Biden’s reckless economic policies.
