Emerson Poll Shows Gallego Leading Lake in Arizona Senate Race



According to a recent poll by Emerson College Polling/The Hill, just over 45% of Arizona’s registered voters support Democrat Rep. Ruben Gallego, while slightly more than 43% back Republican Kari Lake in the state’s Senate race.

Gallego holds a lead of just over 2 points, which falls within the poll’s margin of error of 3 percentage points.

The breakdown of the poll results, released on Tuesday, is as follows:

  • 45.3% favor Gallego, compared to 43.1% who support Lake.
  • 87.4% of Democrats support Gallego, while 80% of Republicans back Lake.
  • 15% of GOP voters favor Gallego, while 6.5% of Democrats support Lake.
  • Immigration is considered the most important issue by 27.9% of respondents, followed by the economy at 24.7% and abortion at 12.4%.
  • 83% of those prioritizing immigration support Lake, compared to 13% who back Gallego.
  • 50% of those focusing on the economy support Lake, while 32% favor Gallego.
  • 89% of individuals concerned about abortion support Gallego, with 6% backing Lake.

The poll was conducted from April 25-29 and surveyed 1,000 registered voters in Arizona.
