Emerson Poll: Trump Surpasses Biden as West’s Run Impacts Democrats
A recent Emerson College poll shows that former President Donald Trump has increased his lead over President Joe Biden by 2 percentage points in a hypothetical matchup for the 2024 presidential election. The poll also suggests that including Green Party candidate Cornel West on the ballot would decrease Trump’s lead. The poll was conducted among 1,000 registered voters and has a margin of error of +/- 3 percentage points. The increase in support for Trump is seen among independent voters, Black voters, and Hispanic voters, who were key demographics in Biden’s victory in 2020.
