On Monday, Argentina’s prosecutor’s office announced that several individuals are reportedly facing charges connected to his death.

Among those charged with manslaughter are Payne’s friend Roger Nores, Esteban Grassi, a receptionist at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, and the hotel’s head of security, Gilda Martin.

Additionally, hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra and local waiter Braian Paiz have been charged for allegedly providing Payne with cocaine during his visit. A judge has mandated their detention while they await trial, potentially facing up to 15 years in prison, according to Reuters.

On October 16th, Payne tragically passed away after falling from a third-story balcony at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Pablo Policicchio, the Security Minister of Buenos Aires municipality, stated that authorities received a call from the hotel regarding an “aggressive man who might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”

Upon arrival, they discovered his body in the hotel courtyard.

According to ABC News, Payne had multiple illegal substances in his system at the time of death, including “pink cocaine,” a mix of various drugs such as methamphetamines, ketamine, MDMA, cocaine, benzodiazepine, and crack.

Additionally, sources have claimed that an aluminum pipe, commonly used for smoking drugs, was found in his hotel room.

Police have apprehended three suspects in connection with Payne’s death, accusing them of supplying the narcotics to the singer.
