Former Israel Adviser Accuses White House of Playing ‘Both Sides’ in War, According to Newsmax

The White House is being criticized for its response to the International Criminal Court’s war crime charges against Israel by Israel’s ex-assistant foreign policy adviser Caroline Glick in an interview with Newsmax on Friday.

Glick, now a senior editor at the Jewish News Syndicate, emphasized the lack of moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas, stating that Israel is a liberal democracy fighting to survive, while Hamas is a genocidal terrorist group aiming for the annihilation of Israel and the Jewish people.

She criticized the Biden administration for not fully defending Israel against the charges made by the ICC prosecutor, saying that the administration’s remarks fell short of acknowledging the gravity of the situation. Glick argued that by echoing Hamas’ accusations against Israel, the ICC prosecutor was essentially supporting genocide, which is a war crime in itself.

Glick highlighted Israel’s fight against various enemies seeking its destruction, including Hamas, Iran, and their proxies. She expressed frustration at the perception that Israel, the victim of attempted genocide, was being accused of genocide for defending itself.

She also criticized the rewarding of violence against Jews in certain quarters and lamented the lack of support from the Arab world in Hamas’ fight against Israel. Glick emphasized the importance of acknowledging the complexities and challenges faced by Israel in the region.
