Fox News Poll: Trump Has 32-Point Lead In GOP Field
Republican primary voters say they support former President Donald Trump to the tune of 53%, compared to 21% who say they back Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, according to a new Fox News poll.
Since a February Fox News poll, Trump is up 10 points, while DeSantis has dropped 7.
Here are how the poll result, released Wednesday, break down:
- 6% say they support former Vice President Mike Pence for the GOP presidential nomination.
- 4% say they favor Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor.
- 3% say they back entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy.
- 2% say they support former Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming.
- 2% say they favor Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina.
- No other GOP candidate received over 1%.
The results were even more lopsided on the Democrats’ side, where there were fewer projected candidates:
- 62% of Democrat primary voters say they favor President Joe Biden.
- 19% say they favor Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
- 9% say they back Marianne Williamson.
The poll, conducted April 21-24, surveyed 1,004 registered voters. It has a margin of error of 4.5 percentage points on the Republican side and 5 percentage points on the Democrats’ side.
