Fred Fleitz and Blaine Holt express confidence in handling the United States on Newsmax

Retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt stated in an interview with Newsmax that the United States lacks deterrence against the Houthis, who continue their attacks without fear. The Yemeni rebels recently attacked a commercial shipping vessel, resulting in casualties and survivors having to abandon the ship.

Holt criticized the White House’s response to the attacks, suggesting that military decisions are not being made by America’s military leaders. He noted the inefficiency of the expensive defense systems used by the U.S. to counter relatively inexpensive weapons, attributing the situation to academic rather than military planning. Holt made these statements during an appearance on “American Agenda.”

Former CIA analyst Fred Fleitz echoed Holt’s sentiments, highlighting the lack of American deterrence and respect from the Houthis and Iran. He expressed concern that the attacks are likely to continue due to this lack of deterrence.
