Gallup Poll: Majority (55%) Express Disapproval of Ethics in Biden Administration
According to a recent poll by Gallup, a majority of American adults have a negative view of the ethical performance of the Biden administration. Out of the respondents, only 42% considered the ethical standards to be excellent or good, while 55% said they were not good or poor. The breakdown of the responses showed that only 8% considered the ethical performance to be excellent, 34% said it was good, 18% said it was not good, and 37% said it was poor.
The poll results were starkly divided along party lines, with 84% of Democrats having a positive view of the administration’s ethics, compared to only 6% of Republicans. The researchers behind the survey suggested that Republicans’ negative perception may be due to ongoing investigations into Hunter Biden’s foreign business relationships, which some believe indicate a pattern of corruption.
Interestingly, the ethical rating for the Biden administration was only slightly higher than that of former President Donald Trump’s administration during the same period in his tenure.
The Gallup poll was conducted from July 3 to 27 and included 1,015 American adults. It has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus four percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
