Georgia Case: Last Trump Co-defendant Set to Surrender
Six additional co-defendants in the Georgia 2020 election case involving former President Donald Trump surrendered on Friday. This leaves only one out of the 19 co-defendants who still needs to appear at the Fulton County jail before a Friday noon ET deadline. The co-defendant, Stephen Lee, is accused of influencing an election worker and has already negotiated his bond package. The six co-defendants who surrendered on Friday had previously negotiated their bail and were released after being booked. Charges against the co-defendants range from violating Georgia’s anti-racketeering law to influencing a witness and conspiring to solicit false statements. Some of the defendants, including former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, are attempting to move their charges to federal court.
