Giuliani Blames Bail Laws for NYC Cop’s Death in Interview with Newsmax
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani criticized current Mayor Eric Adams for the killing of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, blaming Adams’ failure to toughen bail laws for the tragedy. Giuliani made these comments in an interview with Newsmax.
Giuliani also directed strong words at Adams and New York Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, describing them as “radical Marxists” and “ill-educated, uneducated morons.”
Reflecting on his time as mayor, Giuliani expressed the difficulty of seeing children left without parents after an officer’s death, especially when it could have been prevented.
He criticized Adams for not reforming bail laws, despite having three years to do so and blamed him for the suffering caused by Officer Diller’s death.
Giuliani also condemned Heastie’s comment that punishment doesn’t deter crime, stating that proper punishment could have prevented Officer Diller’s murder.
He went on to criticize the Biden administration for its response to the tragedy, accusing them of siding with criminals by not holding Adams accountable for the officer’s death.
Giuliani called on the American people to stand up against Democratic policies that prioritize criminals over law-abiding citizens, likening it to a return to the party’s history of supporting slavery.
