GOP Lawmaker Proposes Legislation to Revoke Asylum for Criminal Offenders
On Thursday, Rep. Mark Harris, a Republican from North Carolina, proposed the “No Asylum for Criminals Act.” This legislation aims to prevent any foreign national with a felony or misdemeanor conviction from applying for asylum, with the exception of instances where the offense is considered a political crime committed outside the United States.
