Governor Burgum Accepts Invitation to Take Part in Debates
North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who recently suffered an Achilles tendon injury while playing basketball, has confirmed that he will participate in the Republican debate on Wednesday night. Despite being in a leg brace and crutches, Burgum stated that he will “cowboy up” and stand at a podium for the duration of the debate. The governor qualified for the debate after meeting the fundraising and polling requirements set by the Republican National Committee. This injury comes after Burgum underwent hip replacement surgery earlier this year.
