Guilfoyle Criticizes ‘Swamp Lunatics’ for Wasting Money on Newsmax

Kimberly Guilfoyle, host of “The Kimberly Guilfoyle Show” on Rumble and Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancee, told Newsmax Thursday that Americans are tired of the out-of-control spending in Washington and of seeing “swamp lunatics” throwing away their hard-earned money.

“Well, look, Americans are fed up with the reckless spending — sick and tired of it,” Guilfoyle said during an appearance on Newsmax’s “Carl Higbie FRONTLINE.” “The economy is one of the big things that’s driving this [former President Donald] Trump movement as well, because he did a great job with it.

“So these people are out of control. They show no respect for the hardworking men and women that bust their butt to be able to get a paycheck and then have to send it to D.C. for these swamp lunatics to just throw their money away.”

Earlier Thursday, Congress sent President Joe Biden a short-term spending bill that would avert an impending partial government shutdown and keep federal agencies funded into early March.

Just before the vote, the House Freedom Caucus announced that it “strongly opposes” the continuing resolution because it allows for more spending than its members support.

The measure passed the full House by a vote of 314-108, with about half of Republicans joining with Democrats to approve the third stopgap funding bill in recent months. The action in the lower chamber came after the Senate had voted to pass the legislation by a vote of 77-18 a few hours before.

Opposition to the bill in the House came primarily from the more conservative members of the Republican conference.

“We’ll see what happens from here,” Guilfoyle said.

“But we also need long-term border security; no need to do this whole, endless Ukraine funding. And we need more than a stopgap. We need long-term fundamental changes in how our government spends our money. So every agency with three letters as an abbreviation needs to be reformed like the IRS, too. We’re coming for them as well.”

Ukraine has been a lingering point of contention, as congressional lawmakers have bickered for weeks over a separate spending package that would provide additional funding for Kyiv and Israel and bolster security at the U.S.-Mexico border.
