Haley Criticizes Ramaswamy’s Stance on Defunding Israel
During the first Republican primary debate, presidential candidate Nikki Haley criticized candidate Vivek Ramaswamy for his comments about cutting off aid to Israel. Ramaswamy had suggested reducing aid to Israel and giving the same amount to neighboring Arab states. Haley argued that the US should support its friends and criticized Ramaswamy for lacking foreign policy experience. Ramaswamy responded by highlighting his plans to strengthen the relationship with Israel and his admiration for their policies. The debate also featured other Republican candidates, but former President Donald Trump did not participate, instead opting for an interview with Tucker Carlson. Ramaswamy is gaining traction in the polls and was positioned next to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis during the debate.
