Hamadeh, endorsed by Trump, gains momentum in Arizona congressional election.

Drafting off the support from former President Donald Trump, Abe Hamadeh, running to be the Republican choice in Arizona’s 8th congressional district, has widened the gap between himself and his closest rival.

The Hamadeh campaign has shared polling data from The Strategy Group Company indicating that Hamadeh is leading Blake Masters by 11 points in the Republican primary, with 30% support compared to 19% for Masters. This represents a significant increase from just two months ago when Hamadeh led by only 3 points at 21% to 18%.

In December, Trump endorsed Hamadeh over Masters for the highly contested district just north of Phoenix.

“Abe Hamadeh is a veteran, a former prosecutor, and a fearless fighter for our elections,” Trump stated in a Truth Social endorsement at the time. “He will be a true WARRIOR in Congress, and always put America First!”

Masters previously lost a close Senate race in 2022 to the current Democratic Senator Mark Kelly, despite receiving support from Silicon Valley leader Peter Thiel. The Republican primary is scheduled for July 30.
