Hamas to Proceed with Hostage Release as Scheduled After Trump’s Ceasefire Advisory – One America News Network

Hamas declared its intent to proceed with the release of Israeli hostages as per the original plan, just days after 47th President Donald Trump issued a warning that he would “let hell break loose” if the cease-fire agreement with Israel was not honored.

The terrorist organization had earlier stated it would postpone the release, alleging that Israel breached the terms of their agreement.
Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson Abu Obeida mentioned in a statement, “the release of the Zionist prisoners scheduled for next Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, will be delayed until further notice, contingent upon the occupation fulfilling its commitments and retroactive compensation for the entitlements over the past weeks. We reaffirm our adherence to the terms of the agreement, as long as the occupation remains committed.”
However, following persistent warnings from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump, Hamas announced on Thursday they would adhere to the terms of the deal, crediting Egyptian and Qatari mediators for facilitating the removal of obstacles.
“We are not looking for the collapse of the cease-fire agreement in Gaza, and we are committed to its implementation and ensuring that the occupation [Israel] fully adheres to it,” said Hamas spokesperson Abdel-Latif Al-Qanoua.
“The threats and intimidation from Trump and Netanyahu do not contribute to the implementation of the cease-fire agreement,” Qanoua added.
The Hamas militants previously accused Israel of failing to comply with its obligations by not allowing tents and shelters into Gaza, along with other alleged violations of the agreement.
In turn, Israel and Trump threatened to recommence military offensives if the hostages were not released according to schedule.
“As far as I’m concerned, if all hostages are not returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock — I believe that’s a suitable deadline — then I would say, cancel the agreement and all bets are off, and let hell break loose,” Trump warned on Monday.
“I’d insist that all of them be returned by 12 o’clock on Saturday. Not in bits and pieces — not two here and one there and so on — but all by Saturday at 12. After that, I would say, all hell is going to break loose.”
During Trump’s threats, he did not dismiss the possibility of deploying U.S. military personnel to the area, telling reporters “we’ll see what happens.”
Moreover, Trump contemplated the U.S. taking control of the Gaza Strip.
