Vice President Kamala Harris has officially welcomed Vice President-elect JD Vance to the White House.

On this day, accompanied by her husband Doug Emhoff, Harris greeted Vance and his wife, Usha, as they arrived at the presidential residence.

While she honored tradition by inviting her successor for pre-inauguration tea, Harris made a break from custom by not inviting Vance to the vice-presidential residence at the Naval Observatory.
