President Donald Trump took part in a White House gathering to commemorate Women’s History Month.

“Today we pay tribute to the extraordinary legacy of remarkable women such as Betsy Ross, Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Clara Barton, and Amelia Earhart, all icons. Their remarkable bravery, patriotism, and commitment have propelled our nation to its pinnacle of success,” President Trump remarked before a large audience on Wednesday.
Trump began by acknowledging the women who joined him at the White House event, stating that they are “making history in our own time.”
“She was recently recognized by a leading media organization as ‘The Most Powerful Woman In The World,’” Trump remarked while discussing his Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles.
He also highlighted White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who holds the distinction of being the youngest person in that role.
Other notable individuals acknowledged during his remarks included Counselor to the President Alina Habba, Attorney General Pam Bondi, United States Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, and Lieutenant Governors Nancy Dahlstrom of Alaska and Pamela Evette of South Carolina, along with Oklahoma Commissioner of Agriculture Blayne Arthur.
“I’m pleased to announce that we have more women in our cabinet than any Republican President in the history of our country,” Trump stated.
The 47th president then criticized the “ideology” of previous administrations, declaring his intention to “end the Marxist war on women.”
“For four long years, we endured an administration that sought to erase the very notion of womanhood, replacing it with radical gender ideology… Under my administration, we are putting an end to the Marxist assault on women,” he asserted.
Trump further discussed several executive orders he has enacted, including the prohibition of biological males from competing in women’s sports.
“We’re sending it back to where it belongs. Oblivion, right?” the president remarked.
He also emphasized an initiative to make in vitro fertilization (IVF) more accessible and affordable for women.
Additionally, Trump announced plans to collaborate with some women in his administration to establish a Women’s Museum at the National Mall.
The president wrapped up his address by acknowledging more female Senators and Representatives within his administration.
“There are few things as powerful as strong, beautiful, and wonderful women. You possess heart and spirit; you are incredible individuals, and it is a privilege to be here with you,” Trump said. “I believe we can unite and usher in the greatest era in our nation’s history.”
