House Freedom Caucus Chair Rep. Good Endorses Trump
Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., chair of the conservative House Freedom Caucus Chair, endorsed former President Donald Trump in the 2024 Republican presidential primary.
Good previously endorsed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who suspended his campaign Sunday.
“It is my privilege to provide my complete and total endorsement for Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States,” Good posted Sunday on X. “President Trump was the greatest President of my lifetime, and we need him to reinstate the policies that were working so well for America.
“We need President Trump to secure our border, strengthen our military, re-establish our energy dominance, and reinvigorate our economy. I am committed to doing everything I can to help ensure he is reelected President.
“I call on all Republicans, independents, and Democrats who love America and are concerned about her current direction, to join me in supporting Donald J. Trump!”
Last week, Good told reporters that his initial endorsement of DeSantis was not meant to be a knock on Trump.
“I’m not against President Trump — I like what President Trump did. I just think we need eight years and so that’s why I endorsed Governor DeSantis,” Good told reporters Wednesday, Axios reported.
