House GOP Leaders Submit Criminal Referrals against the Bidens
The heads of three key House committees forwarded criminal referrals to the Department of Justice regarding President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and his brother, James Biden. The referrals recommend that both face criminal charges for lying to Congress during the ongoing House impeachment investigation into the president.
According to documents obtained by Newsmax, the referrals allege that Hunter and Joe Biden made false statements to shield the president from inquiry about his involvement in influence peddling schemes.
The referrals were submitted by House Committee Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, R-Ky.; House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith, R-Mo.
The letter addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland and U.S. Attorney David Weiss states, “Our investigation has revealed President Biden’s knowledge and participation in his family’s exploitation of the Biden name globally.” The letter further accuses President Biden of continuing to deceive the American people about his connection to these schemes.
The committee claims to have uncovered evidence of blatant lies made by President Biden’s son and brother to Congress. Chairman Comer stated, “Lying to Congress is a serious offense with serious consequences. Both Hunter and James Biden have lied to cover up President Biden’s involvement in their family’s influence-peddling schemes.”
Chairman Jordan added, “These criminal referrals highlight the Biden family’s criminal behavior, and the Department of Justice must take action to hold them accountable.”
The chairmen revealed that the international schemes have generated over $18 million for the Biden family and associated companies. Additionally, IRS whistleblowers have provided evidence that Hunter Biden lied to Congress during a deposition in February.
The documentation also accuses Hunter Biden of falsely claiming to hold a position with Rosemont Seneca Bohai (RSB) and sending threatening messages to a Chinese business partner while invoking his father’s presence. The chairmen claim that Hunter Biden’s Chinese business partners wired millions of dollars to his company, with some funds traced back to the president’s bank account.
