Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has claimed that the recent testimony and interview by Tucker Carlson with Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Devon Archer, disproves the notion that then-Vice President Joe Biden only discussed the weather with his son during business meetings. Huckabee stated that it is common for individuals in high-level business meetings to put their important calls on speakerphone, especially if their father is the sitting vice president. He called Biden’s “coincidental” calls to Hunter theatrics and claimed that they were intended to demonstrate the access and influence that Hunter had by virtue of his father’s position. Huckabee described the situation as influence-peddling, where the idea of access to the vice president of the United States was being sold. He dismissed the notion that the phone calls were mere coincidences and stated that they were strategically timed to occur during business meetings. Huckabee concluded by saying that the situation was highly suspicious and compared it to the smell of skunks at a Sunday school picnic.
