Hunter’s Lawyer: Describing Overseas Business Deals as ‘Excessively Complex’
High-profile attorney Abbe Lowell, who is part of Hunter Biden’s legal team, has stated that explaining how his client received millions of dollars from foreign entities is “too complicated.” Rep. James Comer has accused the Biden family and their associates of receiving over $20 million from foreign sources, including allegations that Hunter Biden received $1 million per year as a board member of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, and that he and his father received $5 million each from Burisma’s CEO for political protection. Lowell argued that the situation is more complex because there were joint ventures between American and foreign entities for job and energy creation. He also pointed out that Hunter Biden is an educated and experienced individual, not simply someone receiving checks for no reason. Lowell mentioned other individuals who have used their connections for opportunities, but noted that they have not been accused of breaking any laws.
