‘I Am Eager to Debate Biden,’ Trump Proclaims
Donald Trump, who previously did not debate his rivals before winning the Republican primary race, is now challenging President Joe Biden to a one-on-one match. He has offered to debate the incumbent “anytime, anyplace.”
In a video clip posted by RNC Research on X (formerly known as Twitter), the former president states, “I want to debate. I want to debate Biden. I’ve actually put out a call, for the good of the nation. We should debate anytime, any place.”
Trump’s top two campaign advisers recently sent a letter to an independent commission advocating for an accelerated debate schedule, more than the usual three debates, and starting the debates earlier in the campaign cycle, as reported by Reuters.
RNC Research posted Trump’s declaration of eagerness to debate Biden, asking, “Why won’t Biden commit to a debate with President Trump? He knows President Trump would wipe the floor with him.”
As GOP Political Strategist Chris LaCivita urged to set up the debate, Republican National Committee member Jake Schneider commented, “Biden’s handlers must be furious. His staffers have dodged the debate question, likely due to Biden’s cognitive decline and inability to form coherent sentences.”
