Reports indicate that multiple staff members from the White House National Security Council were dismissed following a meeting hosted by President Donald Trump with right-wing activist and commentator Laura Loomer on Wednesday.

The meeting occurred ahead of President Trump’s tariff announcement and was attended by Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Vice President JD Vance, and Head of Personnel Sergio Gor, as reported by ABC News.

Those terminated on Thursday included staffers Brian Walsh, Thomas Boodry, and David Feith, according to CNN.

Boodry had previously served under National Security Advisor Mike Waltz during his congressional tenure, while Feith was part of the State Department during President Trump’s initial term.

Loomer confirmed the meeting via social media, emphasizing the importance of “strong vetting” within the GOP administration, without revealing further information.

“Out of respect for President @realDonaldTrump and the privacy of the Oval Office, I’m going to refrain from sharing any details about my meeting with President Trump. It was a privilege to meet with him and present my research findings,” Loomer stated in a post on X.

“I will keep working tirelessly to support his agenda, and I will continually emphasize the significance of STRONG VETTING to ensure the safety of the President of the United States and our national security,” she added.

Loomer also expressed concerns regarding Ivan Kanapathy, a retired U.S. Marine Corps officer serving as senior director for Asia at the National Security Council (NSC) under the Trump administration.

“Two months ago, Ivan was appointed to work under NSC Director @MikeWaltz47 as the NSC Director for Asia, where he is tasked with shaping the Trump administration’s strategy towards China and Taiwan. This is a prominent role at the NSC, placing him in close proximity to President Trump,” she remarked.

“Prior to his position at NSC, Kanapathy was affiliated with Beacon Global Strategies, where he worked alongside former CIA officials and Democrats who oppose Trump, such as Mike Morrell and Leon Panetta as Senior Vice President,” Loomer continued.

“If the names Morell and Panetta sound familiar, that’s because they were among the 51 former intelligence officials who misleadingly claimed in an infamous letter in October 2020 that Hunter Biden’s laptop was a ‘Russian disinformation operation.’”

However, it remains uncertain whether Kanapathy was included in Thursday’s dismissals.

The staff purge follows a recent controversy regarding a Signal leak, in which Waltz or a member of his team inadvertently included an Atlantic reporter in a Signal chat where prominent Trump officials, including Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, discussed potential “attack plans” against Houthi militants before conducting airstrikes.

In various interviews, Trump has suggested that a member of Waltz’s team was responsible for adding the Atlantic journalist/editor-in-chief to the chat.
