The U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) is preparing to execute a “large scale” raid in Los Angeles by the end of the month, according to an internal government document that has been leaked.

This information was first disclosed by the Los Angeles Times, which indicated that ICE is seeking support from the FBI and the DEA in the raids aimed at the large population of undocumented immigrants in the “sanctuary” city.

This development comes amid multiple reports suggesting that sources close to President Donald Trump have indicated his growing frustration over lower-than-expected deportation numbers.

“It’s driving him nuts they’re not deporting more people,” revealed the anonymous source, as reported by NBC News.

Despite Trump’s alleged frustrations, widespread immigration raids have occurred nationwide, and a raid in Los Angeles appears to be on the horizon.

Additionally, an anonymous federal source noted that the timing of the raid may change due to the “chaotic” nature of the Trump administration’s operations and expected resistance from officials in the “sanctuary” city of Los Angeles, which may delay the process.

Furthermore, Trump has recently directed thousands of ICE agents to secure the San Diego border crossing in preparation to deport “100,000 immigrants” back to Mexico and Central America.

In the meantime, Trump’s appointed Border Czar, Tom Homan, stated that the deportation drive is progressing well but is eager to accelerate the deportation rate.

“It was a great start…. It’s great, it’s good, but we’re not finished, and we need more deportation,” Homan commented at the end of last month. “A lot more deportations and that’s what we’re working on.”

Previously, Acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello instructed agents in January to aim for 1,200-1,400 arrests per day, which could lead to nearly 500,000 deportations annually.
